Overwind

Overwind is a common trap card released in 2011 as part of the Generation Force booster set. This set marked the introduction of Xyz Monsters to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, signaling a significant shift in gameplay mechanics as players adapted to the new Rank-based summoning system. The card was designed to support the emerging strategies surrounding the Xyz era, providing a specific defensive utility for players navigating the complexities of the new summoning style.

The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic standards established by Konami for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise during the early 2010s. Like many common-rarity cards from this period, it serves as a functional piece within the broader set, reflecting the development team's efforts to balance the game by introducing varied trap support alongside the high-profile Xyz monster cards. It is regarded by the community as a standard entry in the game's expansive catalog of support cards from that transitional year.
