Provenance

Where it came from

The Parallel eXceed was originally released in the 2020 core set Ignition Assault and became a staple in modern Yu-Gi-Oh! play due to its ability to easily facilitate Rank 4 Xyz or Link summons. Its inclusion in the 2024 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Mirrors, specifically as a Secret Rare, reflects its enduring utility in the competitive meta and Konami's strategy of reprinting high-demand utility cards to ensure accessibility for players.

As a card, Parallel eXceed is defined by its simple yet effective design: it can special summon itself from the hand when a monster is Link summoned, and subsequently summon a second copy from the deck. This mechanics-focused design allowed it to become a generic engine for various decks, and its aesthetic in this reprint maintains the sleek, holographic finish characteristic of the Secret Rare rarity tier.
