Paralyzing Chain

Paralyzing Chain was introduced in the Crossroads of Chaos booster set, released by Konami in late 2008 as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. This set served as the third core booster expansion of the GX era's final phase, introducing new archetypes and support cards intended to diversify defensive playstyles and tactical board control during a period when the game was shifting toward faster, more aggressive formats.

The card features an illustration characteristic of the era's gothic and mechanical aesthetic, common to many spell cards within the Crossroads of Chaos set. As a continuous spell, it was designed to force players into a strategic trade-off, restricting monster movement in exchange for a defensive advantage.
