Performapal Coin Dragon

Performapal Coin Dragon was released in the 2017 Maximum Crisis booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. As a Pendulum monster belonging to the Performapal archetype, it was designed to support the playstyles popularized by the Arc-V era of the franchise, which emphasized Pendulum summoning mechanics and the synergy between diverse monster types. The card features artwork consistent with the vibrant, theatrical aesthetic of the Performapal series, emphasizing playful, fantastical character designs.

The card was designed to facilitate high-level board manipulation by allowing players to copy the effects of other monsters, a mechanic that highlights the versatile and adaptive nature of the Performapal deck. Upon its release, the card was received as a niche technical tool for players looking to experiment with varied card effects, rather than a centerpiece of the competitive meta. It remains a representative example of the complexity and variety introduced to the game during the mid-2010s.
