Performapal Skullcrobat Joker

Performapal Skullcrobat Joker was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Pendulum Evolution booster set, released to support the Pendulum Summoning mechanic. As a core member of the Performapal archetype, the card was designed to function as a powerful search engine, allowing players to add other monsters from their deck to their hand upon being summoned. This utility cemented its role as a fundamental piece of strategy for Duelists navigating the mid-2010s competitive landscape.

The character design reflects the whimsical yet intricate aesthetic characteristic of the Performapal theme, which blends circus-inspired tropes with fantastical creature designs. The card features artwork emphasizing the creature's jester-like persona and theatrical posture, consistent with the playful visual identity of Yuya Sakaki’s deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V animated series. Upon its release in the Pendulum Evolution set, the card was well-received by the player base for its consistency-boosting effect, eventually earning a place on restricted lists in several formats due to its high efficiency in various deck builds.
