Personal Spoofing

Personal Spoofing was first introduced as part of the 2018 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, which served as a compilation set for Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game players to access cards previously released in sets like Code of the Duelist, Circuit Break, and Extreme Force. The card itself originates from the Trickstar archetype, a group of light-attribute fairy monsters themed around pop idols, designed to function by inflicting small amounts of effect damage to whittle down an opponent's resources.

The card features an illustration depicting the Trickstar idol characters in a moment of deceptive performance, reflecting its mechanical purpose as a continuous trap card that allows a player to shuffle a Trickstar monster from their hand into the deck to search for another. It was designed to provide consistency and utility to Trickstar decks, which were highly competitive during the late 2010s due to their ability to control the game state through constant resource recycling and defensive burn tactics.
