Phoenix Beast Gairuda

Phoenix Beast Gairuda was released as part of the Duel Terminal 7b booster set, an installment in the long-running Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game series. These sets were originally designed for use with the Duel Terminal arcade cabinets in Japan, which allowed players to scan physical cards to initiate combat sequences. The set introduced various archetypes and supported the ongoing narrative of the Duel Terminal world, a complex lore-driven storyline that unfolded across multiple years of card releases.

The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the Gusto and ritual-themed archetypes of the era, emphasizing high-fantasy creature designs characteristic of the Konami art team. As an effect monster, Gairuda was designed to fit into specific mechanical frameworks common to the mid-2010s competitive landscape. While not a centerpiece card, it serves as a representative example of the mid-tier support monsters that defined the depth and variety of the Duel Terminal expansion series.
