Photon Lizard

Photon Lizard was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Photon archetype, which debuted in the Generation Force booster set. Designed to support the 'Galaxy' and 'Photon' themes favored by the character Kite Tenjo in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal anime, this monster serves as a utility card that can tribute itself to search for a level 4 or lower Photon monster, providing crucial consistency to decks centered around high-level light attribute monsters.

The 2014 Star Pack release, which includes this specific print, was designed as an entry-level product intended to make key cards from the Zexal era more accessible to a broad audience. Featuring simplified packaging and a curated selection of cards, the set sought to provide players with a straightforward way to obtain staple monsters. While the card itself is a common rarity, it remains a notable piece of the game's history for its specific role in enabling the strategic search capabilities required for Photon-based deck archetypes.
