Pixie Knight

Pixie Knight was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Magician's Force expansion, released in North America in 2003. As an effect monster, it was designed to interact with the deck-manipulation mechanics prevalent in the game’s early competitive landscape, allowing players to reveal the top card of their deck to potentially boost their defense. The card reflects the whimsical, fantasy-inspired aesthetic characteristic of the era's monster designs, emphasizing the game's roots in high-fantasy archetypes.

The Dark Revelation Volume 1 set, where this specific version (DR1-EN125) appeared, was released in 2005 as a comprehensive reprint compilation. Its purpose was to make cards from several earlier, out-of-print booster sets available to a wider player base. While the card is a common rarity and does not carry the prestige of holofoil chase cards, it serves as a functional piece of the game's history, representing the expansive efforts by Konami to ensure card availability during the franchise's significant growth period in the mid-2000s.
