Prominence Hand

Prominence Hand was introduced in the Dragons of Legend booster set, released in 2014 by Konami. This set was unique in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as it was designed to bring cards previously featured only in the animated series to the physical card game. Prominence Hand specifically serves as a core component of the 'Hand' archetype, a group of monster cards centered around synergy and cooperative effects intended to reward players for tactical board management.

The card’s design reflects the distinct, somewhat mechanical aesthetic established by the Duel Monsters anime, specifically referencing the character and deck themes used by various secondary protagonists. While these cards were initially anticipated by fans for their nostalgic value, they eventually gained competitive traction for their ability to generate field presence and disrupt opponent strategies, solidifying their place in the game's history as a notable example of bridge-content between media and tabletop play.
