Psychic Jumper

Psychic Jumper was released in the 2008 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set Crossroads of Chaos. As a common card within this expansion, it was introduced during a period when Konami was aggressively expanding the Psychic-type monster category, which had debuted earlier that year. The card was designed to capitalize on the unique mechanics of the archetype, which often involves paying life points to activate powerful, disruptive effects that manipulate the battlefield.

The design of Psychic Jumper reflects the high-tech, telekinetic aesthetic typical of the Psychic-type monsters introduced in the late 2000s. While it was not considered a staple or a high-demand tournament card upon its release, it remains a notable example of the era's focus on positional utility. Its ability to swap control of monsters served as a niche tactical tool for players looking to disrupt an opponent's formation in casual play settings.
