Provenance

Where it came from

Purrelyeap!? was released as part of OTS Tournament Pack 24 in 2024, serving as a support card for the Purrely archetype. The Purrely series was introduced in the core set Amazing Defenders, drawing thematic inspiration from magical girls and mystical kittens. The archetype's playstyle focuses on utilizing 'Memory' spell cards to summon high-rank Xyz monsters, with this specific trap card serving as a pivotal tool for disrupting the opponent's board by allowing the player to shuffle their Purrely Xyz monsters back into the Extra Deck to summon a new one.

The card features artwork consistent with the Purrely aesthetic, characterized by vibrant, whimsical illustrations that contrast with the more aggressive designs typical of competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. As a Super Rare inclusion in the OTS Tournament Pack—a series distributed exclusively to Official Tournament Stores—it was designed to provide players with a high-rarity, foil-etched version of a card previously available in standard sets, catering to collectors who value both gameplay utility and aesthetic appeal.
