Raider's Wing

Raider's Wing was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the 2021 Tin of Ancient Battles, a collection designed to consolidate popular cards from the previous year's booster sets, specifically those from the core sets Rise of the Duelist, Phantom Rage, Genesis Impact, and Blazing Vortex. The tin followed the long-standing Konami tradition of offering players a cost-effective way to acquire cards that had previously seen limited availability, often featuring a distinct prismatic secret rare aesthetic for cover cards alongside a broader set of rare and super rare reprints.

This card serves as a thematic support piece for the Raidraptor archetype, which is primarily associated with the character Shay Obsidian from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V animated series. Designed to facilitate Xyz Summoning strategies, its ability allows for self-special summoning if a Raidraptor monster is already present on the field, fitting into the high-speed, combo-oriented playstyle characteristic of the archetype. Within the competitive landscape, it is regarded as a functional utility card rather than a centerpiece, valued primarily by enthusiasts of the Raidraptor strategy for its consistency in building field presence.
