Re-Cover

Re-Cover was introduced in the Master of Pendulum Structure Deck, released by Konami in late 2015. This deck was designed to capitalize on the Pendulum Summoning mechanic introduced during the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V era, centering its strategy around the powerful Pendulum Magician monsters. As a low-level Tuner monster, Re-Cover was included to provide players with accessible utility, allowing for easier Synchro Summoning transitions within a deck primarily focused on Pendulum scales.

The card features an effect that allows it to be Special Summoned from the Graveyard by returning a monster from the player's field to the hand, emphasizing the resource management themes common to the Pendulum era. While the artwork and mechanical design reflect the high-fantasy aesthetic of the Magician archetypes, Re-Cover itself remained a utilitarian common card. It was widely viewed by the competitive community as a functional niche option for specific Synchro-based combos rather than a centerpiece of the format.
