Relieve Monster

Relieve Monster was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Retro Pack, released to provide players access to cards previously featured in early tournament-exclusive sets. The card itself functions as a trap that allows a player to return a monster they control to their hand in order to special summon a different monster from their hand, serving as a tactical tool for maneuvering high-level monsters into play.

The card design follows the visual conventions of early Konami card aesthetics, utilizing the standard trap card layout that was prevalent during the initial years of the game. As a Secret Rare in the Retro Pack, the card features the distinct diagonal foil pattern that marks it as a high-rarity chase item for collectors, distinguishing it from its common iterations in earlier promotional sets.
