Reptilianne Scylla

Reptilianne Scylla was introduced in the Stardust Overdrive booster set, released internationally in 2009 as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card represents a key member of the Reptilianne archetype, a collection of monsters themed around mythological Gorgons and reptilian biology. These cards were designed to introduce a unique gameplay mechanic focused on reducing an opponent's monster attack points to zero to facilitate control-based strategies.

The creature design reflects the aesthetic of the series' darker, more monster-centric archetypes, drawing clear inspiration from the classical depiction of the Scylla as a multi-headed marine monster. Within the competitive climate of the era, the Reptilianne series was viewed by players as a specialized niche strategy. While these cards were not considered part of the top-tier competitive meta, they remain appreciated by collectors for their distinct artistic direction and the cohesive, gothic-inspired monster designs that define the early 5D's era of the game.
