Rescue Rabbit

Rescue Rabbit was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the 2012 Galactic Overlord set, later seeing a reprint in King's Court (KICO-EN034). The card was designed to support Normal Monster archetypes by allowing players to banish the monster from the field to special summon two level four or lower Normal Monsters from their deck. This mechanic provided significant utility for Xyz Summoning, which was the central gameplay focus during that era of the game.

The card’s whimsical aesthetic features a robotic, gear-driven rabbit emerging from a top hat, a design choice that contrasts with the more aggressive fantasy monsters typically found in the game. It was received as a highly competitive staple upon its release, as it allowed for rapid board development. Over time, it became a recognizable symbol of the Xyz era, remembered both for its mechanical efficiency and its distinct, playful visual style.
