Salamandra

Salamandra originally debuted in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, appearing as an equip spell card designed to boost the attack power of fire-attribute monsters. It reflects the core mechanics of the game's initial sets, where elemental synergy and straightforward stat modifiers were fundamental to competitive and casual play. The card's artwork, depicting a fiery reptilian creature, aligns with the mythological and elemental themes prevalent in the game's original Konami art direction.

The version from Legendary Collection 4: Joey's World, released in 2013, serves as a reissue within a set specifically curated to highlight the signature cards used by the character Joey Wheeler in the original anime. By including reprints of cards associated with Joey's deck, the collection aimed to capitalize on nostalgia for the Battle City era. While Salamandra was a common rarity in this release, its inclusion helped maintain the accessibility of classic support cards for players interested in building decks inspired by the source material.
