Salamangreat Meer

Salamangreat Meer debuted as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game's OCG-to-TCG import process, eventually appearing in the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin Mega Pack. This card was designed as a support piece for the Salamangreat archetype, a fire-attribute-focused deck that gained significant traction in the competitive scene due to its recursive mechanics and link-summoning utility. The illustration features the creature's mechanical, robotic aesthetics, intended to mirror the cybernetic fire-beast motif established by the rest of the Salamangreat line.

The inclusion of Meer in the 2019 Gold Sarcophagus set was part of an effort by Konami to increase the accessibility of competitive deck-building staples. As a common rarity card, it served as a functional piece for players looking to complete their playsets without the financial barrier of higher-rarity counterparts. The card is widely recognized by the community for its niche but useful ability to special summon itself and recycle resources, contributing to the fluid, high-speed nature of the modern game.
