Where it came from
Secret Skills of the Six Samurai was released in the 2017 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set Spirit Warriors. This set was designed to revitalize the Six Samurai archetype, which had been a dominant force in the competitive scene years prior, by introducing new support cards to facilitate swarming the field and utilizing the graveyard. The card serves as a thematic continuation of the group's lore, depicting the strategic unity of the warriors.
The card features artwork consistent with the aesthetic of the Six Samurai, focusing on a dynamic, ink-wash style illustration that evokes traditional Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints. As a Secret Rare, it is distinguished by a diagonal prismatic foil pattern across the surface, a signature rarity tier that emphasizes the high-tier playability and collectible nature of cards intended for competitive duelists.
