Where it came from
Seventh Force was released in the 2023 expansion set Legendary Duelists: Soulburning Volcano, which primarily focuses on supporting the strategies of iconic fire-attributed monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series. The card is designed to support the Barian archetype, specifically tied to the Over-Hundred Numbers monsters used by the Barian Emperors during the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL era, functioning as a support spell that enables complex special summoning sequences.
The card artwork and mechanical design were crafted to translate the dramatic, transformation-heavy nature of the anime into the trading card game format. It emphasizes the concept of rank-up mechanics that define the ZEXAL series, and it was received by players as a specialized tool for niche combo decks that aim to bring powerful high-rank Xyz monsters onto the field quickly.
