Where it came from
Skull Servant first appeared in the original Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon booster set in 2002. As one of the earliest normal monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, its design reflects the simple, graveyard-focused aesthetic of the franchise's nascent years. Despite its low attack and defense points, the character became an enduring mascot due to its whimsical, skeletal appearance and its role as the foundation for a niche but beloved archetype that grew in complexity over decades of support cards.
The Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem version, numbered BLMM-EN002, reintroduces this classic creature with a premium Secret Rare finish. This specific printing is part of a collector-focused set designed to showcase iconic monsters with high-end foil treatments. The design intent for this release was to honor the card's history within the game while providing long-time players with an aesthetically elevated version of a foundational piece of their collection.
