SPYRAL MISSION - Rescue

SPYRAL MISSION - Rescue was introduced in the Maximum Crisis booster set, released by Konami in 2017. As part of the SPYRAL archetype, the card serves as a continuous trap designed to support the playstyle of the SPYRAL agency, which draws heavy aesthetic and thematic inspiration from classic spy films and espionage fiction of the mid-20th century. The card was created to provide the deck with resource recursion, allowing players to recover SPYRAL monsters from the graveyard, effectively mirroring the tactical recovery missions characteristic of the genre.

The visual design features artwork consistent with the SPYRAL theme, emphasizing the tactical and high-tech gadgetry utilized by the secret agents within the set. Like other cards in the SPYRAL series, the illustration was conceptualized by the Yu-Gi-Oh! design team to establish a cohesive visual language of shadows, dossier folders, and futuristic communication devices. Upon its release, it was well-regarded by players for its utility in maintaining card advantage, cementing its place as a staple within the SPYRAL competitive strategy during the card's peak viability.
