Striping Partner

Striping Partner was originally released in the 2018 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, a compilation set designed by Konami to provide players with reprints of cards that had dominated the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game competitive landscape over the preceding year. This card originally debuted in the Code of the Duelist core booster set, introduced during the VRAINS era of the game which focused on the implementation of Link Monsters and the introduction of the Extra Monster Zone.

The card features an effect that allows players to Special Summon a monster from their hand by targeting a Link Monster they control, essentially serving as a utility piece for board extension. Its design reflects the mechanical emphasis of the time, where the game pushed for swifter positioning to satisfy the newly updated summoning rules. As a common rarity card in the 2018 Mega-Tin, it was positioned as an accessible tool for collectors and players looking to complete their sets without the scarcity associated with higher-tier holographic rarities.
