Super Soldier Ritual

The Super Soldier Ritual card was released in the 2016 Mega-Tin Mega Pack, a compilation set designed to consolidate powerful cards from the previous year’s main booster sets. This specific card serves as the ritual spell required to summon the Black Luster Soldier - Super Soldier, a reimagining of one of the game's most iconic legacy monsters. The design was intended to provide a dedicated, modern support system for the Black Luster Soldier archetype, integrating specific ritual mechanics that reward players for sending specific materials to the graveyard.

The card’s artwork reflects the aesthetic of the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! era, emphasizing the high-fantasy, armored appearance of the Black Luster Soldier line. It was designed to facilitate a specific playstyle centered on ritual summoning, a core mechanic of the game since its inception. Upon its release in the Mega-Tin, the card was received primarily by collectors and fans of classic archetypes, as it provided an accessible way to complete a deck based on a fan-favorite monster without having to track down original, out-of-print cards.
