Synchro Panic

Synchro Panic was introduced in the 2024 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge. This set was specifically designed to highlight cards from the Duel Terminal storyline, a long-running narrative arc within the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe centered on themes of mechanical evolution and factional warfare. The card serves as a thematic support piece for Synchro-based strategies, reflecting the mechanical aesthetic associated with the Gusto, Ritual Beast, and Dragunity archetypes found throughout the Terminal series.

The card’s illustration and mechanical design were crafted by the Konami design team to function as a support tool for decks relying on Synchro Summoning. By allowing players to special summon Tuners from the deck upon the destruction of a Synchro Monster, it fits into the high-risk, high-reward playstyle common to the modern iteration of the game. Its inclusion in the Battles of Legend series was intended to provide players with accessible versions of cards that bridge the gap between classic Duel Terminal lore and contemporary competitive gameplay.
