The Golden Apples

The Golden Apples was first released in the 2011 Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon. This structured deck was designed to provide players with a ready-to-play strategy centered around the iconic Slifer the Sky Dragon, one of the three legendary Egyptian God cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. As a common rarity trap card, it was included to offer players a reliable defensive utility that synergized with the high-risk, high-reward nature of decks focused on summoning powerful, tribute-heavy monsters.

The card features an effect that allows a player to recover life points equal to the attack of an opponent's monster and generate a token with equivalent statistics upon taking damage. Its design serves as a thematic nod to the restorative and transformative elements often found in mythology. Within the competitive landscape, it is recognized for its ability to stabilize a board state, providing both a defensive barrier and a potential counter-attack resource, reflecting the tactical balance intended for the Egyptian God Deck series.
