Thousand-Eyes Restrict

Thousand-Eyes Restrict debuted in the early years of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, initially appearing as an Ultra Rare in the Magic Ruler booster set in 2002. Designed as a fusion monster requiring the combination of Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Idol, it was based on the iconic creature wielded by the antagonist Maximillion Pegasus in the original anime series. Its design reflects the surreal, dark aesthetic characteristic of Pegasus's Toon and relinquished-themed deck, focusing on a grotesque, eye-covered form intended to visually embody its ability to paralyze and absorb opponent monsters.

The version from Duelist Pack: Rivals of the Pharaoh (DPRP-EN046) serves as a later reprint of this classic card. This set was specifically curated to highlight signature monsters and strategies associated with the legendary duelists from the original series, providing modern players with easier access to legacy cards. While the original release heavily impacted the competitive landscape due to its powerful board-control capabilities, the rarity of this specific reprint is designated as Rare, making it a functional and aesthetic inclusion for collectors interested in the evolution of the game's core card pool.
