Thunderclap Skywolf

Thunderclap Skywolf was released in the Secrets of Eternity booster set, which debuted in the TCG in early 2015. As a core set in the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, it was designed to introduce new archetypes and support existing strategies during the Arc-V era. The card itself functions as an effect monster, representing the creature design philosophy of Konami's R&D team, who frequently blend mechanical or elemental aesthetics with mythical beasts to broaden the game's tactical landscape.

The artwork for this card draws on the high-fantasy motifs synonymous with the series' design language, emphasizing dynamic movement and a striking color palette. Like many Super Rare cards from this period, it features a distinct holographic foil finish on the card name and illustration border. While not a centerpiece of competitive meta decks at the time, it remains a notable example of the mid-tier support monsters that define the expansive collectibility of the Secrets of Eternity set.
