Time-Tearing Morganite

Time-Tearing Morganite was introduced as part of the 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Mirrors, a commemorative product released in 2024 to celebrate a quarter-century of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game. This set was designed to reprint highly sought-after cards from various recent expansion sets, serving both as a nostalgic retrospective for long-term players and an accessible entry point for those looking to acquire powerful staples for their decks.

The card itself functions as a high-risk, high-reward engine designed to accelerate gameplay by allowing players to conduct two normal summons per turn and draw two cards during their draw phase. By forcing the player to sacrifice their ability to activate monster effects in the hand, the design pushes a unique playstyle that emphasizes board presence and resource management. It is a reflection of modern game design, which frequently experiments with trade-offs that alter the fundamental rules of turn structure.
