Timegazer Magician

Timegazer Magician was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2016 as part of the Starter Deck: Yuya, which was designed to introduce players to the new Pendulum Summoning mechanics featured in the Arc-V era of the franchise. The card was modeled after the signature monster used by the protagonist, Yuya Sakaki, and served as a foundational piece for building a Pendulum-focused deck. Its design emphasizes the shift toward hybrid monster-spell cards that could occupy the pendulum zones on the game board.

The card was illustrated to reflect the celestial and rhythmic themes of the Arc-V storyline, showcasing a wizard-like figure who manipulates time and space. As a common rarity card, it was distributed widely to ensure that newcomers to the game could easily acquire a functional piece for their starter decks. It was well-received by the player base for its utility in establishing the Pendulum scale, effectively serving as an accessible entry point for fans interested in the evolving complexities of the game's mechanics.
