Tornado Bird

Tornado Bird was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Dark Beginning 2 set, which functioned as a compilation release designed to reissue a wide array of cards previously featured in the Pharaoh's Servant, Labyrinth of Nightmare, Legacy of Darkness, and Pharaoh's Servant expansions. This release allowed players to acquire cards from earlier competitive eras in a single, consolidated product, filling gaps in their collections and ensuring broader access to staple cards of that time.

The card features an effect-monster design focused on the Wind attribute and Winged Beast type, contributing to the diversity of avian-themed archetypes that were prevalent during the game's mid-2000s expansion phase. As a common rarity card, it was crafted for mass distribution within the set rather than as a high-tier chase card, serving as a functional piece for players building deck strategies around its specific utility to return spells or traps to the hand.
