Ultimate Baseball Kid

Ultimate Baseball Kid was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Cybernetic Revolution set, designed as a thematic monster that gained power based on other Fire-attribute monsters controlled by the player. The card was created by Konami to bridge the gap between simple beatstick monsters and synergy-focused deck building, utilizing baseball-themed motifs to appeal to the game's younger demographic.

The specific iteration known as DL15-EN003 was released as part of the Duelist League 15 promotion. This program was designed by Konami to foster local community engagement at hobby stores, offering unique, lower-rarity promotional versions of cards to participants as rewards for attendance and play. These cards, distinguished by their unique color-stamped set prefixes, are celebrated by collectors today as tangible markers of the organized play culture that sustained the game throughout the mid-2000s.
