Vision HERO Poisoner

Vision HERO Poisoner is a part of the HERO archetype within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, a theme originally introduced in the GX era and designed by Konami. This specific card was featured in the 2023 release Battles of Legend: Chapter 1, which served as a compilation set designed to reprint high-demand cards from previous Battles of Legend releases. The Vision HERO sub-archetype focuses on graveyard interactions and special summoning mechanics, with Poisoner specifically designed to weaken opposing monsters to provide tactical board advantages during combat.

The illustration follows the aesthetic established for the Vision HERO line, which utilizes a more shadowed, bio-mechanical art style compared to the classic Elemental HERO designs. While individual artists for specific card artworks are rarely credited publicly by Konami, the design consistency across the sub-archetype is intended to emphasize a darker, more utilitarian look that distinguishes the Vision HEROes from their more heroic counterparts. Upon its introduction to the game, the card was received as a niche but functional tool for players utilizing the Vision HERO engine to supplement their extra deck strategies.
