Vylon Tetra

Vylon Tetra was released as part of the Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants set in 2013. The Vylon archetype, which debuted in the Duel Terminal series, features monsters defined by their celestial, mechanical aesthetic and light attribute, representing a group of ancient robotic beings designed to maintain peace through order. This particular card was reimagined for the Battle Pack environment, which was specifically engineered to be drafted and played in a limited format.

The design of the Vylon series was spearheaded by the Konami design team to emphasize the synergy between monster effects and equip spells, reflecting a tactical focus on buffing and protection. While the Vylon cards were initially received as a niche technical archetype, the inclusion of Vylon Tetra in Battle Pack 2 allowed players to explore its unique utility as a tuner monster that could facilitate synchro summoning while acting as an equip spell, showcasing the versatility the developers intended for the theme.
