Xyz Universe

Xyz Universe was introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set The Grand Creators, which was released in early 2022. This set was designed to introduce new archetypes—such as the Brave Token engine, P.U.N.K., and Floowandereeze—into the competitive landscape. As a trap card, Xyz Universe functions as a situational utility tool, allowing players to send two face-up Xyz Monsters from the field to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon a specific Xyz Monster from the Extra Deck, providing a niche but potent form of non-destruction removal.

The card was designed to support Xyz-focused strategies by bypassing traditional protection effects that only guard against destruction.
