Where it came from
Released in 2011, this OVA serves as an epilogue to the television anime adaptation of the visual novel Hoshizora no Memoria, originally developed by the studio Feng. Produced by Doga Kobo, the episode was bundled with the limited edition of the PC game's sequel, providing closure to the romantic narratives established in the main series by focusing on the domestic life of the protagonist and his chosen partner.
The animation reflects Doga Kobo's established aesthetic during this period, characterized by soft character designs and a focus on the slice-of-life atmosphere central to the visual novel genre. The project was conceived as a fan-service supplement for dedicated followers of the franchise, aiming to bridge the gap between the game's multiple branching paths and the singular narrative focus of the televised series, receiving a modest reception primarily from the existing fanbase of the source material.
