A-RA-SHI : Reborn

A-RA-SHI: Reborn was released in late 2019 as a digital single, serving as a collaborative project between the legendary Japanese idol group Arashi and Toei Animation. The track was designed to celebrate the group's 20th anniversary and their entry into the global digital market, reimagining their debut single with a modern, high-energy pop production. The collaboration aimed to bridge the gap between J-pop and anime culture, signaling the group's shift toward a more accessible, international digital footprint.

The music video for the single features the members of Arashi rendered in the signature animation style of the One Piece franchise, supervised by Toei Animation. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, provided the character designs for the animated sequence, integrating the members into the world of the Straw Hat Pirates. This artistic crossover was met with significant anticipation from both music and anime fanbases, successfully highlighting the cultural crossover potential of Japanese entertainment icons during the group's final active phase before their hiatus.
