Accel World

Accel World originated as a Japanese light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by HiMA, which began serialization in 2009. The anime adaptation was produced by the studio Sunrise and aired in 2012, marking a significant project for the studio as it delved into the cyberpunk subgenre. The narrative explores themes of social hierarchy and virtual reality, focusing on a protagonist who gains access to a mysterious software called Brain Burst that allows users to accelerate their perception of time.
