When Konoe Moyako and her little brother, Akira, were young, he said he wanted to marry her. Naturally, Moyako decided that her little brother was a complete pervert who was obsessed with her. Now that they're both teenagers, Moyako is convinced she needs to "rehabilitate" him. However, it seems that the "perversion" is entirely in her imagination, and she can't seem to help turning completely innocent situations into creepy ones in her mind!

Where it came from
Ane Log: Big Sister Moyako's Never-ending Monologue was produced as an original video animation series by Brain's Base, debuting in 2014. It is based on the manga series by Kenji Taguchi, which centers on the humorous and often obsessive internal monologues of Moyako Konoe regarding her younger brother, Akira. The adaptation was directed by Tetsuo Ichimura, who aimed to capture the rapid-fire comedic timing and distinct personality shifts that define the source material's observational humor.
The animation style and design choices were intended to emphasize the protagonist's eccentric personality, utilizing a clean, bright aesthetic that complements the show's lighthearted, slice-of-life tone. As a short-form format, the series was well-received by fans of character-driven comedy, praised for how faithfully it translated Taguchi's panels into a dynamic, voice-acting-heavy visual experience that highlighted the absurdity of Moyako's overprotective tendencies.
