Another ending epilogue included with the 7th volume of the DVD and Blu-ray.
Disillusioned with the afterlife, a new student causes a scene during a classroom test and expresses his doubts about whether getting good grades can really lead to escaping the school and ascending to Heaven. Afterwards, he is confronted by the new student council president—a familiar face whose past experiences give him powerful insight into the true nature of the school and first-hand knowledge regarding the futility of rebellion.

Where it came from
Angel Beats!: Another Epilogue was released in 2010 as a special feature included with the seventh volume of the Angel Beats! Blu-ray and DVD releases. Produced by P.A. Works and Aniplex, it serves as a brief, surreal coda to the main series, directed by Seiji Kishi. The project emerged from the intense fan response to the original 13-episode anime, which was written by Jun Maeda and widely noted for its emotional exploration of the afterlife, regret, and the process of moving on.
The short was designed to provide additional closure to the protagonist Otonashi’s journey, focusing on a lingering sequence that suggests a cyclical nature to the characters' existence in the purgatorial school setting. While the main series was praised for its ambitious premise and music, this epilogue was crafted to offer a more quiet, contemplative tone. It remains a notable piece of late-2000s anime lore, valued by fans for its melancholic visual direction and its role in finalizing the narrative arc of the show's central characters.
