Anima Yell! Ouen Douga

Anima Yell! Ouen Douga serves as a short-form promotional companion to the 2018 television anime series Anima Yell!, produced by Doga Kobo. The series, adapted from Tsukasa Unohana's manga, follows Kohane Hatoya and her journey to establish a cheerleading club. These Ouen Douga, or cheering shorts, were released during the show's broadcast window to bridge the gap between episodes and maintain audience engagement, emphasizing the series' themes of optimism and mutual encouragement.

The shorts feature the character designs of Manamu Amasaki, who sought to translate Unohana’s soft, expressive manga art style into the fluid, character-driven animation for which Doga Kobo is widely known. By focusing on lighthearted, rhythmic cheerleading sequences and comedic interactions between the protagonists, the shorts were intended to foster a warm connection with viewers, capturing the 'gap moe' and high-energy spirit of the main production.
