Where it came from
The Animelo Summer Live 2017 x Kemono Friends collaboration emerged from the massive, unexpected cultural phenomenon surrounding the 2017 Kemono Friends anime adaptation. As part of Japan’s largest annual anime music festival, this project was conceived to integrate the franchise’s breakout voice cast, known as Doubutsu Biscuits x PPP, into the high-energy live performance circuit. The collaboration aimed to capitalize on the series' wholesome, community-driven appeal by bridging the gap between digital animation and real-world concert spectacle.
The design and presentation of this collaboration were centered on the energetic, collaborative spirit of the 'Japari Park' universe, featuring arrangements that emphasized audience participation and the signature bright, rhythmic pop style of the anime’s opening theme. It was received with significant enthusiasm by the event's attendees, solidifying the franchise's influence in the mid-2010s anime music landscape and serving as a hallmark moment for the voice cast during their peak period of popularity.
