Where it came from
Released in 2012 as the twenty-fourth feature film in the long-running Anpanman series, Revive Banana Island! serves as an annual cinematic entry adapted from the beloved manga and picture book series created by Takashi Yanase. Produced by TMS Entertainment, the film continues the tradition of blending gentle moral lessons with high-stakes adventure, focusing on themes of regeneration and environmental stewardship within the colorful world of the titular island.
The character design and world-building remain consistent with Yanase's original vision, emphasizing rounded, approachable aesthetics that prioritize clarity and kindness for a preschool audience.
