As seasons have passed, Mizuho Nishino's adolescence has been full of ups and downs. With Christmas approaching, she intends to celebrate the special event with all of her four childhood friends: Kizuki Hazawa, Shin Kashiwagi, Airu Izumi, and Shuugo Hoshikawa. However, Kizuki makes the first move when he declares that he wants to spend the time alone with Mizuho. Although hesitant at first, Mizuho ends up confiding in him and declares Kizuki to be her boyfriend!
The news about Mizuho and Kizuki spreads quickly and brings forth Shin and Airu, who have had a difficult time accepting their feelings for the one they love. With the friend group faced with a delicate situation they have never confronted before, only time will tell if the new romance and old friendships can survive.

Where it came from
Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You. Season 2, released by TBS in 2026, serves as the continuation of the network's contemporary romantic drama series. Developed in the context of the evolving landscape of episodic streaming and cable television, the series was designed to explore the nuances of modern courtship and emotional vulnerability. It was produced to capitalize on the audience engagement and character arcs established during the program's debut season.
The creative direction for the second season focused on refining the visual language established by the original production team, emphasizing intimate camerawork and grounded performances to maintain a sense of authenticity. Critical and public reception focused on the show's departure from traditional genre tropes, with writers and directors aiming to create a balanced narrative that felt both relatable and distinct within the competitive 2026 broadcast slate.
