Ark

Ark is a 2003 animated science fiction film produced by Skouras and released as a direct-to-video production. The film was developed during a period when independent studios were increasingly experimenting with early 3D computer animation techniques to tell expansive, dystopian stories that were often influenced by the visual aesthetics of contemporary video games and graphic novels.

The project is notable for its ambitious attempt to create a feature-length digital world on a limited budget. Directed by Kenny Huang, the film focuses on a post-apocalyptic narrative where humanity attempts to survive within a massive, controlled environment. While it received a modest reception upon release, it remains a point of interest for historians of early independent CGI animation and the stylistic shift toward digital-only distribution models in the early 2000s.
