Where it came from
Arisa is a 2005 original video animation produced by the studio Green Bunny. Emerging during a period when the studio was heavily focused on the adult anime market, the project was intended to serve as a standalone narrative piece within the stylistic parameters common to the label's output at the time.
The production reflects the aesthetic conventions of mid-2000s animation, prioritizing character-centric storytelling and specific visual tropes characteristic of Green Bunny's catalog. As an OVA released directly to the home video market, its reception was primarily confined to the niche demographic of collectors and enthusiasts of the studio’s adult-oriented animation style.
