Where it came from
Astro Note is a 2024 original television anime series produced by Telecom Animation Film. The project was created to revitalize the romantic comedy genre, centering on a talented chef who takes a job at a boarding house only to discover the landlord is an extraterrestrial with a penchant for mysteries. The series serves as a creative showcase for the studio's ability to balance character-driven humor with whimsical science fiction elements.
The production was directed by Haruki Kasugamori, who worked to blend classic anime aesthetics with modern sensibilities. The character designs, originally drafted by Eisaku Kubonouchi, aim for a distinctively approachable and expressive style that reflects the show's lighthearted, sentimental tone. Upon its release, the series was noted for its nostalgic narrative structure and its contribution to the studio's long-standing reputation for polished animation work.
