B-PROJECT Passion*Love Call

B-PROJECT Passion*Love Call serves as the third season of the multimedia franchise B-PROJECT, which originated as a collaborative music project featuring character designs by the illustrator Utako Yukihiro. The series focuses on the rise of fictional idol groups under the Gandala Music label, blending elements of music industry drama with the polished, high-energy aesthetic typical of the idol genre. Produced by Asahi Production, the 2023 season continues the narrative trajectory established by its predecessors, aiming to maintain the emotional resonance and idol-focused escapism that has defined the franchise since its inception.

The visual style of the production leans heavily into the signature shoujo-influenced character aesthetics established by Yukihiro, prioritizing dynamic stage performances and the specific archetypal personality traits associated with the individual band members. Upon its release, the series was received primarily by the established base of franchise devotees, serving as a platform for new musical releases and character development arcs within the existing lore. It represents a continuation of the brand's cross-media strategy, integrating animated storytelling with the promotional cycles of the vocal performers.
