Bakujuu Gasshin Ziguru Hazeru

Bakujuu Gasshin Ziguru Hazeru was produced by Ashi Productions in 2013 as a unique, short-form television project designed to revitalize interest in the 'chogokin' or die-cast transformation aesthetic. The series centers on the concept of 'beast fusion,' where mechanical entities combine to form a larger warrior, drawing heavily from the classic mecha tropes of the 1970s and 1980s that established Ashi Productions' reputation in the genre.

The character design and visual direction were crafted to evoke a nostalgic, tactile sense of toy engineering, reflecting the studio's desire to bridge the gap between traditional cel-style animation influence and modern digital production. While the series was largely produced as a niche promotional experiment rather than a mainstream broadcast hit, it remains a notable entry in the studio's catalog for its commitment to the classic 'gattai' or combination sequence, which served as the primary aesthetic focus for the animation team.
